More than 100 years ago, the Black Americans in Mount Pleasant began with 100 lots deeded to craftsmen in lieu of wages. The 100Lot Project aims to revitalize and rebuild the Mount Pleasant community on Cleveland's Southeast side, keeping its history alive.
Our approach is redirection with a resident-fueled initiative. By expanding opportunities for remote and local jobs that aren't transport-dependent, Mount Pleasant can have stabilized earning power within the community and open communication with its current residents for support.
In order to fuel this endeavor, The 100Lot Project will search for partnerships from state and local government, foundations, churches, and corporations interested in investing in the community’s efforts to rebuild itself in a variety of ways.
